About
Homemade Hobby Paint Shaker
I took an old Black & Decker recipricating saw and installed a cut down mini clamp to create a paint shaker for hobby size paints. Best paint shaker for hobby paints. Nothing commercially available works as well.
I ground the shaft of the mini clamp so that it would fit in the blade holder of the saw.
Closeup of clamp in the saw,
This is a commercial paint shaker that is available. Mine lasted about 20 bottles before I had to install a new motor. Places sell this for as much as 50 bucks and it really does not work as well as my homemade shaker. Probably has $3 worth of plastic and a $1 hobby motor. Way overpriced for its abilities and longevity. Even if it were cheaper, still does not shake paints as well as my homemade shaker.
