PLEASE WAIT.........

I purchased one of these to test it out and see where it could be used on an Amusement Park layout.

Sounds can trigger on 6 different actions and provide continuous background noise.

For example, a continuous sound of city noise can play, interrupted by sounds of birds, cell phones and other random sounds. At 4pm a concert in the park could play.

The first bad thing about this unit is that any new sound interrupts the previous sound. They are not played at the same time. This sounds strange when the background sounds are interrupted.

The second bad thing is the unit is really expensive and most of its functions can be performed with simple sound modules from Ebay.

The third problem, Faller made no attempt at a multilanguage version of their software. This seems really strange these days. The following images are my basic attempt to use the Faller software including basic translation to English.

The last problem, the main box makes a terrible exlectronic squeeling noise. At least my units does. Watch the video and listen for the high pitch squeel.

Might have more purpose on layouts that require LocoNet or Lissy integration

This is the main menu with Basic English translations. See the following screens for information on each event type.

There are 10 contact closures on the unit. Sounds can be played when the switch Opens, Closes or changes.

Click + to add another sound file. Assign it a contact number and a play priority. Select the status of the switch that will cause the sound file to play.

LocoNet coil status can cause a sound file to play.

Click + to add another sound file. Assign it a LocoNet address and a play priority. Select the status of the coil that will cause the sound file to play.

This is where you set the background sound files and the order they will play......over and over again.

Random sounds can play in the background. There is no ability to set the frequency or any other options on Random play.

This is where you can cause sound files to play at a specific time. Such as a concert in the park at 6pm.

The clock is in MODEL TIME which can be changed in setup. So, for example, 24 hours in MODEL TIME might only be 1 hour of REAL TIME.

LocoNet signal status can cause a sound file to play.

Click + to add another sound file. Assign it a LocoNet address and a play priority. Select the status of the signal that will cause the sound file to play.

Volume changes the master volume of all sound files.

Start Time is the time in MODEL TIME that the layout starts at when power is applied.

You can set the number of seconds that occur for every 15 minutes of MODEL TIME.

Random delay factor ....... anyone?

You can start backgrounds sounds at a specific sound file.

You can set the unit to sync its clock with LocoNet.
